RayBlaster 3.5

A Radically Different Approach to Sound Generation

RayBlaster 3.5 opens up a dimension of sound that differs fundamentally from conventional synthesizers. Its Impulse Modeling Synthesis (IMS) technology takes a completely different approach to sound design.

Instead of traditional oscillator and filter structures, RayBlaster uses a convolution-based synthesis method. Short impulse fragments are layered and processed into complex, highly musical sounds with exceptional clarity and dynamic movement.

The result is a versatile sonic universe defined by precision, depth and expressive character.

WHAT IS IMPULSE MODELING SYNTHESIS?

Impulse Modeling Synthesis (IMS) is a convolution-based synthesis method that creates sounds from short impulse responses instead of traditional waveforms.

The impulses are layered, analyzed and dynamically processed to create complex sonic structures with high stability and musical depth. The method reduces typical detuning artifacts and enables detailed and expressive sound design.

SOUNDS

RayBlaster 3.5 includes a factory library with over 1,100 presets covering arpeggios, rhythmic textures, vocals and cinematic soundscapes.

The sounds are organized into clearly defined categories for fast navigation and an efficient workflow. An additional 50 presets have been integrated into the existing library.

MODULATION

RayBlaster 3.5 provides a flexible modulation system with drag & drop routing and an extensive modulation matrix.

Almost all parameters can be modulated at audio rate. Available modulation sources include LFOs, envelopes, step sequencers and MIDI.

MIDI Learn allows external controllers to be assigned quickly via right-click.

EFFECTS

RayBlaster 3.5 features 44 stereo effects with extensive routing options.

Reverb types including Ultra, Big, Infinite, Trance, Band and Glass provide different options for spatial depth and sonic density. Delay-based effects such as Delay, PingPong, MultiTap, Band and Diffuse feature reduced detuning behavior.

EQ processing uses 64-bit coefficients for precise signal processing. Per-voice distortion is integrated directly into the synthesis engine.

The effects chain maintains consistent stereo depth and clarity across all modules.

WAVEFORMS, SAMPLES & RESYNTHESIS

RayBlaster 3.5 supports the import of external waveforms and filter characteristics as well as real-time waveform morphing.

Short audio material such as vocals, loops and drums can be resynthesized and used for sound design. Tempo-synchronized controls enable flexible manipulation of pitch, timing and timbre.
